China’s Cold Snap Leads to Food Shopping Frenzy

Many cities in China are currently experiencing the lowest temperatures of the winter, with a cold(er) snap predicted to hit prior to the weekend. As a result, shoppers have dashed to supermarkets to stock up for the coming chill. In Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, an elderly man realizes he may have left his shopping run too late. The temperature in Beijing is forecast to drop to as low as -17 C, and other parts of the country may experience 30-year lows, including the more temperate south.
