The founding of the CPC and its work under the leadership of the party’s first generation of leaders with Mao Zedong at the core enabled China to drive out the foreign powers and gradually recover from the humiliations imposed on it since the First Opium War in 1840. In this respect, the birth of the CPC is a great event in the history of the Chinese nation.

With the advent of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) under the leadership of the CPC, the great renaissance has begun. Through the efforts of the entire nation, successive generations of charismatic and visionary CPC leaders have paved an admirable path to the prosperity of the country, the realization of the Chinese dream of eradicating absolute poverty, and even the conquest of space.

To sum up, the CPC derives its legitimacy from the people who are at the beginning, center and end of its policies and actions.

I think that the CPC played an instrumental role in the modern history of China. It was able to establish the state with a very strong foundation and a very strong system of governance for the benefit of the people.

I think one of the fundamental things is the fact that it was able to adapt to the different circumstances, internally and globally. They were able to do it with a lot of vision, with a lot of integrity, and with a lot of visionary targets that they have tried to reach.

The Chinese miracle that we are all witnessing is the fruit of the work of the CPC. It is really an institution worth studying, worth learning from and finding out how it was able to achieve the Chinese miracle.

Since the founding of the Congolese Party of Labour (CPL) in 1969, close ties between the CPL and the CPC have been established and continue to this day. The exchanges between the two parties have allowed for a deepening of political ties.

The CPL has close ties to the CPC for a long time, and the two parties had fruitful exchanges every year. In September last year, at the opening ceremony of a webinar jointly held by the CPC and the CPL, Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, said that the CPC is willing to work with the CPL to implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders of the two countries, deepen mutual understanding in governance, promote cooperation in various fields, and promote the building of a closer China-Africa community with a shared future for the better benefit of the people. Pierre Moussa, General Secretary of the CPL, said the CPL is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, promote cooperation projects between the two countries, continuously deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Congo and China, and jointly safeguard a just and reasonable international order.

China is a vast country with 1.4 billion people. We can see the achievement the CPC is doing in this country on leading its people to make a better life and bring happiness to themselves. The CPC is playing an important role as the leader of China to unite the Chinese, to have the same vision, and to work for the same purpose. That’s the reason why China could defeat poverty. So I want to congratulate it for this achievement, which is very remarkable.

The CPC puts the people at the center, which is very good. Chinese people are living in peace and harmony, which is the result of the work of the CPC. It is also something that we should learn from China, that if you put your people’s interest first, you are capable of achieving remarkable results.

First of all, congratulations on this happy 100th anniversary! And again also congratulations for the achievements! I have participated in a forum in Nujiang of Yunnan Province, which is one of the most challenging places in China when it comes to fighting poverty. As announced last March, China conquered the victory against poverty in 2020, 10 years ahead of what was established by the UN’s Sustainable Agenda of 2030. So it is a big achievement, not only for China, but for the humanity, as the number of people that were lifted out of poverty is quite significant.

In Nujiang, we not only had a forum, but we also could go to the grassroots, to the field, and witness with our own eyes what was done for, in this case, some ethnic communities, who were living in very different conditions, and were relocated to new regions and places where they have new opportunities and where they can have dreams, not only for themselves, but also for the next generations. So congratulations on these achievements conquered under the leadership of the CPC.

Firstly, congratulations! A hundred years is a long time. China has persevered through many things, and they come out always at the top. We are very envious about your success. I think it is a good thing, because the world could learn from your success.

I am not sure if I can remember correctly whether other countries can actually boast about being consistent over 100 years. When I arrived here 10 years ago, even Beijing was not like it is now. It has developed so much that even we foreigners feel very proud of it.
