The program of “Access to Satellite TV for 10,000 African Villages”, as the cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchange project, part of “ten major cooperation projects”, aims to make it possible for 10,000 rural areas in Africa to receive TV broadcasting signals, so as to enrich the cultural life of local people and enhance China-Africa connections.
Fruitful results have been achieved during the summit.
What is the alternative to China’s role in developing the infrastructure of African countries and establishing industrial zones? To all the countries that criticize China’s role in Africa, particularly the United States, have you offered an alternative solution to African problems?
President Xi Jinping on Monday said China will implement eight major initiatives with African countries in the next three years and beyond, covering fields such as industrial promotion, infrastructure connectivity, trade facilitation, and green development.
The country follows a “five-no” approach in its relations with Africa: no interference in African countries’ pursuit of development paths that fit their national conditions; no interference in African countries’ internal affairs; no imposition of China’s will on African countries; no attachment of political strings to assistance to Africa; and no seeking of selfish political gains in investment and financing cooperation with Africa.
