The Third China International Import Expo (CIIE) Is Taking Place

Be sure to keep an eye out for all the wheeling, dealing and excitement at CIIE 2020!

The third China International Import Expo (CIIE) will take place from November 5th in China’s international business capital – Shanghai.

With the coronavirus pandemic still a concern across the world, this year’s event has placed a strong focus on the safety of participants. All are being asked to monitor their health 14-days before arrival, and upon landing in China, are required to declare their health conditions, have their body temperature checked, and submit for a COVID-19 test.

Despite the pandemic, this year’s exhibition is still set to be the biggest yet.

The expo area has been expanded by 20,000 square meters to accommodate the growing number of businesses, with areas such as the jewellery section expecting 189 enterprises from 33 countries and regions, a sign of the expo’s expanding popularity. Every platform across the expo will display different brand’s product and event information, as well as offering supply chain services.

Hosts for this year’s expo – the Hongqiao exhibition and trading centre – will also offer venue, operation and advertising facilities to aid companies in their business dealings. These services are one of the major spill over areas from CIIE, helping turn more exhibits into attractive commodities for the Chinese market.

The centre has also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with one-stop trading service platform “6+365 days” and Chinese streaming platform BesTV to further assist traders in attracting local consumers. For some, the expo is already in full swing, with toy giants Lego and Playmobil, luxury-cosmetics brand Yves Rocher and the very best of British food and drink already selling to prospective customers.

So be sure to keep an eye-out for all the wheeling, dealing and excitement at CIIE 2020!
